1950s On the way to welfare

For the first time, the product range is expanded by a washer/ scrubber machine, initially exclusively for sale on the export markets. It has actually been ready for several years but the raw materials needed for its production have only just become available.

1950 is a year with record sales at home and abroad. Demand continues to outstrip ever-growing production capacity. Here we see the factory in 1954. The flags show that the Nilfisk vacuum cleaner are sold under the brand Tellus in some countries.

Nilfisk launches a new design in 1958. The G70 is, with a few modifications, still a part of the product catalogue today as the classic GM 80, proving the long-lasting success of the design.

A new, smaller industrial vacuum cleaner is a big success.
