Nilfisk-Advance strengthens the sales and service organisation

In April Nilfisk-Advance acquired the activities in Søndergaard Maskincenter A/S, Denmark, which comprises sales and service of cleaning machines, and in England Nilfisk-Advance entered into agreement to acquire the majority of shares in the company, Doug Tolson Engineering Limited (DTE) . The acquisitions will significantly improve Nilfisk-Advance’s customer focus in these two markets. 

Søndergaard Maskincenter, domiciled in Kolding, has for more than 20 years offered professional cleaning equipment to Danish industrial companies, institutions and contract cleaners. It is a well-established business - especially within large sweepers, floor care, outdoor sweeping and services - which will now be a part of the Nilfisk-Advance organisation. Søndergaard’s activities within this area add 11 employees and a turnover of approx. 14 mDKK annually. The take-over of the activities in Søndergaard Maskincenter will be effective as per 1 May 2007.

Søndergaard Maskincenter will be an integrated part of Nilfisk-Advance's sales and service organisation in Denmark. 

Doug Tolson Engineering (DTE) in Burton upon Trentis a small production, sales and service organisation within high pressure cleaning products. The company specialized for the automotive and industry business has a turnover of approx. 3mGBP and 43 employees. 

DTE gives Nilfisk-Advance a unique access to the automotive business in UK as well as a nation wide service force of 23 employees. Together DTE and Nilfisk-Advance UK will have a service organisation of approx. 50 employees in the UK market. 

According to plan DTE will – also after the acquisition May 1 continue as a self standing entity within Nilfisk-Advance.
