Nilfisk-Advance completes acquisition of Nilfisk-ALTO activities in Switzerland

Nilfisk-Advance strengthens its position in Switzerland by acquiring the Nilfisk-ALTO activities from F.T. Sonderegger AG.

In line with Nilfisk-Advance’s strategic focus on being close to the customers, centered on becoming the ’Customers’ preferred choice’, Nilfisk-Advance is now strengthening its position in the Swiss market for professional cleaning equipment.
                                     
In Switzerland, sales of Nilfisk-ALTO products have historically been handled via the importer F.T. Sonderegger. As of October 1st, 2011 Nilfisk-Advance has taken over all activities from F.T. Sonderegger relating to the Nilfisk-ALTO activities. 

F.T. Sonderegger has been an importer of the Nilfisk-Advance brands Nilfisk-ALTO, WAP and KEW for more than 35 years and has successfully built up a broad network of dealers in Switzerland.

In total 19 employees from  F.T. Sonderegger working with the Nilfisk-ALTO business are transferred to Nilfisk-Advance. The owner of F.T. Sonderegger, Mr. Heinz Sonderegger, continues as Sales Director for the Nilfisk-ALTO business and will take active part in developing the business going forward.
